Day 14- Last Day in Europe

The final day of the European Tour of 2010 ended in Paris. The Paris excursion was rounded off by a visit to the new Paris and a visit to the famous Parisians and Francophiles buried at Pere Lachere. I passed out the final night at Mama Shelter, a Phillip Starck masterpiece with his signature quirky touches. Who can hate on a bed lamp with a Batman mask? I love modernism.

I felt offended by this. I'm torn between deciding if Wilde would've loved this or hated it.

Day 13- Paris (Good Eats)

There are very few things in life that I enjoy more than condiments and macaroons. For many years, the image of mustard in my mind was bright yellow with too much vinegar. But through years of culinary taste and see, I realized that Americans have extremely skewed tastes and discovered the true taste of well done mustard. Lola led me to the single Maille store in Paris. I wish I'd gotten a photo of the stacks and stacks of mustard. You can bring empty cans and pay for refills there, too, dispensed through various pumps. And the second place doesn't need an introduction, as it's the famous Laduree.

Day 12 - Paris

After a full day of traveling, we arrived in France to a very rainy and grey Paris. Right next to our hostel was a cute restaurant that served confit du canard, so I was completely sold. Turned out that they also have live music on Fridays. It was such a nice treat after a rough day. I came to realization that night that my favorite activity in Paris is sitting at a restaurant and getting crunk off red wine.

Day 1- Paris

And so begins the long haul of photos... I have enough material for the next two weeks. I'm going to be more meticulous and regular with these, updating everyday at 10am EST, mostly helped by Blogger's scheduled updates. I'm a bit late today, forgive me.

Day 1 began in Paris. Check out at the Hotel Saint Dominique, lunch at the Notre Dame, a quick photo or two, and then to Orly for the flight to Rome.

I lost these jeans shortly after this photo. RIP Uniqlo skinny fits.

The Gothic architecture in Paris never fails to stun me.
