the spring lookbook pt. 5/5
Finally got around to seeing The September Issue tonight and realized all the fuss around Grace Coddington. Yes, I do love her. She possesses every quality I would expect from someone in fashion - innovation, fearlessness, and unadulterated whimsy. But despite her brilliance, most of our admiration stems from her love for what she does and her pride in her work.
If you haven't watched it yet, you can stream it online through Netflix, purchase it via the website/Amazon, and rent/buy it on iTunes. You won't regret it.

ReplyDeleteyou and i must have the same netflix queue. i watched september issue the moment it became available on netflix.
ReplyDeleteI like how you did the description in a magazine-esque way. I love the dress and accessories. I have a floppy hat like that which I've had for 6 years and have never worn! Maybe this will inspire me to change that.
ReplyDeleteGrace is amazing, love her. And that dress looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteUgh I wrote such a great comment and blogger spazed [shocking!]
ReplyDeleteWhat I originally said was that I loved the movie, I think it showed a lot of weaknesses in the magazine industry [over production/scrapping shoots] and I wonder if they've stopped with that kind of decadence.
Also I would love a follow up or another title from Conde Nast to do something similar. I think it would keep the magazine industry a float to create buzz and income by producing inside peeks into what goes into running one.
