wait wait stop the wedding

I hate spring. Aside from the seasonal allergies (sniffing, sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, itchy throat), it's wedding season. And now that I'm in my mid 20's, those stupid envelopes keep coming. Am I the only one who pays attention to divorce statistics and global overpopulation? (Yes. My name is Alicia, and I'm a bitter single. Hi, Alicia.)

I'm always in a quandary when I open yet another white envelope inviting me to witness the union of Miss Betty Crocker with Mr. Uncle Ben. Okay, let's keep it real, Uncle Ben needs to be with Aunt Jemima. Betty Crocker can hook up with the Pillsbury Doughboy. Or maybe the fisherman from Gorton's.

Anyway, I need a functional dress this spring for a dry [church] wedding and another one most likely held in some country club. I've come up with two designers who have polar aesthetics. Thoughts???

P.S. Thanks to Stop It Right Now for bringing Leila's designs to my attention.

  1. Eudon Choi 26!! I would personally not choose the alligators to prevent unwanted attention from people that use clothes as conversation starters. You know like...hey girl, I like alligators too. And...I like the positioning of the print in relation to the line of the draping and how the dark color of the print creates a diagonal across the body. Very nice!

  2. I just hope Haiti doesn't become put on the back burner like every other disaster zone.

    but Spring already?

Haha, which continent are you currently in? perhaps, it's better to be thinking about the spring than this insanely freezing winter.

&, as far as divorce statistics go, that probably varies from country to country, but I figure you're interested in those numbers representing the States.

  4. I actually would like to attend a wedding. Dressing up and stuff, isn't it nice? But none of my friends plan to. Just one couple I know, but it'll be very unspectacular. No reason to go all out with the outfit..
