turkey & gravy

As Asian as my family can be, we go all out on Thanksgiving. I'm talking about green bean casserole, collard greens, cornbread, candied yams, sweet potato pie, homemade gravy, and lots and lots of turkey and ham. It is a veritable feast. And now that the kids are older, we add drink to the mix. Not that we need it.

  1. Awww, love the grandma pics! Makes me miss mines! And, my family is pretty Asian and we kinda keep it that way. haha. My friend from the mainland said that Thanksgivings in Hawai'i are very pot luck style because there's a little something of everything.

  3. Kaitlin - grannies are the best! I love when they shove money into your pocket and whisper, "Use this for snacks and candy." When you look at it, you realize that your grandma just gave you a Benjamin for junk food.

Something Picasso - hahaha, that's my younger cousin. I used to wipe the snot off his nose!
