how low are you willing to go to reach all your selfish goals

If you've seen my Twitter, you probably already know. But I have an announcement.

I quit my job.

Yes, you've read that right. In cash strapped economic conditions, I have, indeed, made the choice to be gainfully unemployed. Being a paralegal wasn't my first choice as an ideal line of work, but when I accepted it, I made a promise to myself that I would keep it for a year (11 months, that's close enough, right?). Now, since that year is up, I have decided to pursue other interests.

What this may all entail, I have no idea. But no worries, this blog WILL continue... partly because I enjoy writing and mostly because my vanity demands I detail my life as much as possible so strangers can come and gawk.

For now, I'm going to be doing some serious traveling. Tennessee next month for a music festival, then off to Hong Kong, Thailand, Korea, and possibly Nepal. After that? The possibilities are endless.

  1. congrats on your unemployment (I call it 'funemployment'). I really recommend popping over to Vietnam if you're in that neck of the woods. Very inexpensive to travel around, the scenery is phenomenal (deep green everywhere you look) and the street food... to die for (or get sick, but no fuss!)

  2. Aah well =) At least you'll have the time to do all that traveling! ^-^ Have fun!

  3. Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow! All I have to say is congratulations, and excited you are following your feelings. Plus totally jealous of your travelling prospects!

  4. good on you! well have an open mind + heart and i'm sure better days are in stall for you.

travelling never hurt too, aww, i'm so jealouss!

  5. good for you-
nobody should spend their early twenties doing something they don't want to do.

    its a courageous move!

  6. there is always hawaii!!! yes.. i think you should travel... EVERYWHERE!! i hope to one day save enough money... quit my job.. and travel the world!! go for it!

  7. hot damn, that sounds good. congrats on having the courage to break free, bc lord knows how many people are now in jobs they hate because they fear unemployment.
try to avoid going to hk in july/aug. it is like ass hot. like hotter and sweatier than hotlanta.

  8. wow vacation is the last thing i think about when i'm unemployed, go you!!!!!

  9. You are my inspiration. I really wanna quit this one job, but only so I can take on a funner and better paying one. So, then I can travel after. Haha. I think people sometimes put too much energy and hype into the sad state of the economy and its effects, etc etc. Yes, it hits people, but really you just gotta do what you gotta do and stay positive! Have fun on your travels, can't wait to see where you go!!
