fall uniform: free people + sam edelman pax

When I like something, I get obsessed with it. During my first year of college, I fell in love with Reese's breakfast cereal (which is sooooo bad for you because it's got 3242384 grams of sugar in a bowl) and ate it everyday for two months. This was also around the time when I decided to learn the lyrics to M-Flo's "Miss You" even though I didn't know a lick of Japanese. My roommate would come into the room and be like, "AGAIN?!" I wonder how she put up with me.

Right now, the obsession is the Floral Lace Fit and Flare dress from Free People. I picked it up at the Free People Atlanta opening and haven't taken it off since. It's the perfect dress to jazz up with jewelry and my Sam Edelman Pax boots (which I also never take off). There are a few other elements to this dress that make it a keeper: buffet-ready with its empire waist line, tulle detailing for the princess in all of us, and burnout floral lace that's sorta vampy (Halloween is a-coming). I'm tempted to order it in the pearl gray, too.

In the meantime, DJ, play that music louder, お願い!

  1. i am so that way! songs are on repeat for days-months. if i really like something i buy it in every color. once i was obsessed with coldstone's birthday cake remix and ate it everyday for two weeks. that's definitely not happening at this age with a declining metabolism.. and then it was fried chicken wings.. then mexican food.. anyway all these psychotic examples as a roundabout way to saying i would totally understand if your next 5 outfit posts involve that lace dress

  3. I've kinda become like that too but trying not to be too obsessed with one thing and taking everything in moderation. However I am listening to this song by Cinematic Orchestra and I've literally put it on loop the ENTIRE DAY. Ah well music doesn't add to my calorie count unlike this iced cappuccino in front of my computer...

Btw I always look forward to your comments- they make me laugh and they're really detail-oriented!

  5. Why on earth would you ever want to take those boots off? They are heaven. I have been on the prowl for a nice boot/heel combo but have yet to find the right pair....

  6. Those boots are amazing, I wouldn't take them off either. Love that you paired the boots with that delicate lace dress, great look.

    1. I wear a size 7. They run true to size, so I'd get the size you'd normally wear.
