omg taco!

I had my first fusion taco experience at OMG Taco today. I feel almost shameful admitting it. My mom and I have been making some bastardized version of Korean tacos at home (marinated pork Korean style, fresh salsa from tomatoes/cilantros/lots of red onion/jalapenos, topped with some 고추장 sauce my mom makes specially), so it was nice to get a version of what the west coast's been hyping around the street food arena. Run by a guy originally from San Diego, OMG Taco takes its abbreviations seriously with their LOL and WTF toppings. But I wouldn't be the asshole I am if I didn't point out their misuse of the word "infamous," which is turning out to be Alanis' "Ironic" of our generation.

I can't wait for my 35mm lens to get here so I can stop with these out of focus food photos.

  1. "Ironic" was such an infamous word in the 90's... And it's ironic how much I like your boots ;)

**Two jokes in one comment, betch! You're welcome :)**

  6. Thanks for the blog comment. I love your "Why?" posts - I totally don't get so many things on the market today, either because of just poor design or way unjustified pricing (the bulk of the "Contemporary" department falls into this category). That said, some part of my brain is always able to justify the markup on high-end luxury goods. Celine pricing always seems fair, for example, because the craftsmanship is just that good ;)

  9. Not sure what I'm salivating over more, the tacos or your badass boots.

Or maybe it's your description of your mom's version of Korean tacos. That might actually take the cake.

  11. How do those boots fit I ordered the smallest they had but it's still large? Apparently women with teeny tiny feet had the same idea.
