West Egg Cafe

Spent a bulk of the weekend stuffing my face over in the Westside Provisions area in West Midtown. We've come a long way since blogging about it in 2009. (Thank God.)

Sunday brunch was at an old staple, West Egg Cafe. This place has a special place in my heart, because it takes it name from The Great Gatsby. (Say what you will about it, that book addresses every problem in contemporary America.) I hate the 45 minute wait that always precedes any meal here, but the hearty brunch fare makes me think that the wait is a small price to pay. Went for the blue plate this time, instead of my usual green tomato wrap. God, I love their potatoes.

The message on the windows is ironic, isn't it? Hah.

  6. Gosh, brunch is my favourite meal sometimes...like better than a separate breakfast and lunch. I don't even really like eggs this much, but these look very yummy! I like the mixture of textures in your outfit; your bag is to die for and your boots have a really cool structural shape. Hope you have a good week! xx

  7. Love this outfit, and about your comment on my blog - I agree that the Prabal Gurung sunglasses look so much better on than in stock photos. I am obsessed with them, but I don't think I would be had I not seen them on first. Also, just wanted to note that I really appreciate all of your restaurant reviews and food photos because my boyfriend and I have friends in Atlanta, and your reviews are great inspiration for new places for us to check out when we visit. We haven't been to any just yet, but on our next trip (hopefully soon), we'll have plenty of new options to choose from :) xx
